In September 2007 I made a trip
to Portugal with the Danish
author and poet Peter Poulsen. The purpose was to collect sounds
from the city of Lisbon - hometown of the Portugese poet Fernando
Pessoa. The project is part of an extensive internet
project initiated by the Danish composer Klaus Ib
Jørgensen who has composed a series of musical works around
poems by Fernando Pessoa.
Take a listen to a walk through Rua Augusta, a major pedestrian street in the centre of Lisbon.
( The recording was made with binaural microphones and thus provides the best spacial impression when listened to with a pair of headphones. Make sure to get the left earphone placed on the left ear and the right on the right! )
